Before finding wide recognition as the sensational group Lake Street Dive, 3/4 of that band and the little-known singer Vilray recorded the educational music of a reclusive man named Bailtrax. These recordings are available now for the first time.

Mostly demos for the abandoned '1908' concept album, this collection finds BOOKSONTAPE at the top of their pedantic-romantic game in the months before they disbanded indefinitely. "I need a nap," the band's founder Dr. Sandy Bailtrax was heard to say. "There are just too many facts."
